Dr. Campion is a graduate of Otago Medical School in New Zealand and has additional degrees in Pharmacology and Biophysics. He was awarded a National Institute of Health Fellowship doing research in nephrology and muscle electrophysiology at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Campion trained in Neuromuscular Diseases and was recruited to the faculty at UCLA, where he directed the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic. After training in Electrodiagnostic Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, he was Director of Electromyography Service at UCLA. There, he trained Neurology residents and examined hundreds of patients with all forms of common and rare neuromuscular problems.
For seven years, Dr. Campion was on the full time faculty at UCLA and is currently Adjunct Professor in Internal Medicine. He is Board Certified in Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Campion has lectured widely and contributed to many neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic courses locally, nationally and internationally. He has published in the fields of biophysics, pharmacology, nephrology, muscle physiology, rheumatology, muscle disease, and electrodiagnostic medicine. At the request of the American Association of Hand Surgeons, Dr. Campion recently published a definitive paper "Electrodiagnostic Testing in Hand Surgery."
Since 1978, Dr. Campion has been in private practice, has over 300 referring physicians, and has examined more than 125,000 patients (as of 2009). He is the only Electrodiagnostician listed in the Lockhart Directory of Worker's Compensation Doctors and is frequently used as an Independent Examiner. He has testified frequently as an expert witness, both for the plaintiff and defense sides.

Practice Description
All patients are seen on a referral basis with the referring physician
deciding which appropriate test is needed. Dr. Campion does not repeat
the history and physical. He gives a totally objective evaluation and
provides a full report within 2-3 days to the referring physician.
Appointments can be made within a day or two of the request.
